Homeschool Book Culling

Three bookshelves broke. The books were stacked on the floor, waiting, and new acquisitions added to the piles.

Two bookshelves were repaired. I'm putting books back on the shelves and moving them around. In the process I'm culling books.

If we move half-way across the country I can't take 9000+ books with us, so some have to go.

If we sell the house to downsize to reduce expenses, some books will have to go.

The odds are in favor of me having to let go of books, many books.

So off more go.

I'm ready for some change, as it seems that change is the only option. Certain options are better than others. I'm praying for a good outcome.

I'm suddenly more grateful than ever for the ordinary days of raising my kids and being with them and homeschooling. I hope I can continue with homeschooling.

Wow! This is a job that I really should tackle as well. In the summer I boxed up a lot of the "younger" books in case I wound up homeschooling someone younger again. There are still more books stacked around that don't fit on the bookcase.

so sorry to read of your challenges.
I'd be happy to take some off your hands. We're afterschoolers and I think we are probably near to you. We're 15 mins from Lake Wintergreen which you have referenced.
My kids are 6 and 11.
